no, i shall never be accused of letting the smallest or most insignificant of details pass by, unremarked upon. but really, everything is remarkable, all things considered.
today, on day 241, we decided to have our intrepid epicurean adventurer experience sourness for the very first time, by trying some old orchard pineapple orange banana juice.
mister serioso looks to be up to the challenge.
now, it may be easy, based on the look on his, to draw the conclusion that he doesn't care for sourness, but i think he's actually just getting used to making a "pucker" face. he didn't get upset and seemed more than happy to get every last drop from kris' finger.
or maybe he's inherited my tastebuds, which are wired in such a way to my brain to lead me to wonder in disbelief how anyone in their right mind could ever possibly believe that pineapple tastes good.
bleh!
I clicked on "all things considered" thinking to get a link to a radio show, and lo and behold, up comes the story of Eric's dramatic entry into the world. It brought tears to my eyes, especially to think how far he has come. We follow his progress, even in its insignificant details, with interest!

, atmmm. That juice sounds yummy! when he's a little older, you can try a banana yogurt pineapple smoothie - sour, but delicious!

“"it is hard to be brave," said piglet, sniffing slightly, "when you're only a Very Small Animal." rabbit, who had begun to write very busily, looked up and said: "it is because you are a very small animal that you will be Useful in the adventure before us."”
the complete tales & poems of winnie the poohthis site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.
he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.
if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
