somedays, hopefully a picture is worth a thousand words. so, rather than write six thousand words, i'll leave you with a handful of pictures of odin's two hundredth and eightieth day; he played in the park for the first time, rode a toy horse for the first time, felt the grass between his toes for the first time and hung out with his cousin. not bad for a slow sunday!
you can click on each picture to see a larger version with a description.
Hello; I read your blog daily; and I have enjoyed watching such a beautiful baby turn into a even more beautiful little boy- I've never wrote a comment but today I couldn't resist. The picture of the feet together is the BEST!!

OK..just 3 years ago I had to finally part with my childhood favourite pastime. It was my spring horse!!! I am now 47.
I even grew up and had real horses but the joy I feel when I think of that spring horse is amazing. The adventures we shared...the peaceful journeys and the wild calamaties..the fastest races ever..the secrets we kept..still.
Odin looks my compatriot on the horse. Ridem' Cowboy!!! Oh the miles and miles I travelled..
What a fantastic day Odin was having...
Yahoooo Buckaroo!!!

the complete tales & poems of winnie the poohthis site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.
he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.
if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
