the postcard project: yellowstone national park.

since yellowstone national park spans wyoming, montana and idaho , the postcard project judges are happy that kelly ( also known as *milly* ) pointed out that these bison are grazing in montana.

a long time ago in a universe far, far away, kris and i slept in sleeping bags under the a nightime sky in yellowstone that was filled with an impossible number of stars. and the next day i was nearly gored by a bison when he ( she? ) didn't care for me bounding up beside him so that kris could get a picture of the both of us.

many thanks to kelly for inviting us for an epicurean adventure where the buffalo roam. we'll pass on the buffalo chips though :-)

hi rena,

i scan the front and back of the postcards, making sure that the width and height for each scan is the same ( this is easy to do using photoshop ). i then create a new image that's the same width but twice the height of the original scans and then copy and paste and position the front and back appropriately.

hope this helps.

"it is hard to be brave," said piglet, sniffing slightly, "when you're only a Very Small Animal." rabbit, who had begun to write very busily, looked up and said: "it is because you are a very small animal that you will be Useful in the adventure before us."

[ about ]

this site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.

he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.

if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
