ex machina

the eric update: x-treemie powered swag.

run, don't walk, to the snowdeal store and be the first on your block to get either an x-treemie button or x-treemie magnet! i can't take credit for coining the term x-treemie and hopefully greg over at daddytypes isn't thinking about trademarking the term i believe he invented.

yes, i'm making - quite literally - a buck of each button and magnet, which i think is o.k. considering some of the expenses that we can expect over the first year. hopefully it won't appear as if i'm too flagrantly attepting to cash in on odin's adventures. and since i suspect family will be buying the buttons and magnets, it's an unwritten rule that it's perfectly o.k. to bilk relatives at every opportunity :-)

many thanks to my sister candy for creating the image used for the button and magnet. candy is one half of rosenbaum creative, so she's pretty handy with that type of thing. and now you know who to blame if you get the button or magnet and the image doesn't look right. sarcasm!.

if anyone has any bright ideas for additional x-treemie swag or if you have a favorite picture that you'd like to see on a t-shirt of coffee mug, just let me know and i'll make more work for candy.

Okay - WAY, WAY, WAY TOO CUTE!!!

I am ordering my magnet now... And since you laid out the offer - don't be surprised if I send a link to a picture too... I want one of Kyle too :)

That is so great!

PS. I ordered a second one to give to our Home Nurse Nancy, to place up in the NICU Kitchen at Loyola :)

I hope hope hope these turn out nice and centered as shown. Cafe press has some quality control issues (I run a store for a fan club) and don't hesitate to complain if the button is not as seen. They will usually send you a replacement and not really expect you to return the defective item.

I think you should have a big ticket item - something that is marked up $10 or more. It will have to be a really cool design to heighten the value. Maybe a poster or journal or shirt. Any ideas?? Maybe make a tiny halloween costume for him and photograph him Anne Geddes style. :)

Hahaha - Eric, you crack me up!

I agree on a poster, or T-Shirt. A great big "X-Treemie Power" picture on the back :)

I'd wear it on my March of Dimes (supporting the campaign on prematurity) walk next year!

"it is hard to be brave," said piglet, sniffing slightly, "when you're only a Very Small Animal." rabbit, who had begun to write very busily, looked up and said: "it is because you are a very small animal that you will be Useful in the adventure before us."

[ about ]

this site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.

he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.

if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
