cari was one of many long lost friends who took the time to send a postcard. someday odin will likely be amused to see that cari described herself as someone who "used to go to parties with your dad before we were all responsible adults." :-)
it's fun to think that there's a bunch of people in the natural history museum studying meteorites while they're following along with odin's adventures.

Yay! My postcard made it on the website. How proud I am, and so glad to know that little Odin knows we're rooting for him. The postcard I am sending to Odin tomorrow is from a little farther away. To get a hint, check out caricorrigan.blogspot.com. I'm going incommunicato for the next 6 weeks so just wanted to wish all of the Snowdeal clan the best of holidays with their new babies!!! Grow Odin Grow! I'll be sad to miss 6 weeks of his growth but I bet he'll be over the 11 pound mark by then! Wow. So amazing.
holy crap! you're going to south pole! that sounds like fun!
and shame on you for not letting me know you had a blog/flickr photostream sooner.
quite simply, you will be on odin's short list of the bestest people EVAH! if you send him a postcard from antarctica. hopefully it'll still be around when we get a chance to visit ;-(
be safe!
“"it is hard to be brave," said piglet, sniffing slightly, "when you're only a Very Small Animal." rabbit, who had begun to write very busily, looked up and said: "it is because you are a very small animal that you will be Useful in the adventure before us."”
the complete tales & poems of winnie the poohthis site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.
he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.
if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
