ex machina

the eric update - day 210: lounging on a slow sunday!

we finally found the penn t-shirt that some nice people sent odin on on day 32 and we were surprised to find that the shirt that once seemed ridiculously large, is now - a mere 178 days later - almost too small.

i wish they made adult-sized cradle swings since he looks mighty comfortable in his jeans and t-shirt sans socks louging around on a slow sunday.

Wow - glad you found that shirt when you did, or he never would have had the chance to wear it! What size is he in now?

Won't be much longer before he'll be too big for the cradle swing. Mr. Odin is growing like a weed. :-)

Adult-sized cradle swings? They do make them, they're just called hammock chairs. Like this: http://tinyurl.com/4krcm

i think the hammock swings could come in handy in a pinch. but they're missing two key features - copious padding and a motorized movement :-)

he fits into most 3-6 months clothes quite well, although i think probably in another month or so we'll have to "upgrade" his clothes.

"it is hard to be brave," said piglet, sniffing slightly, "when you're only a Very Small Animal." rabbit, who had begun to write very busily, looked up and said: "it is because you are a very small animal that you will be Useful in the adventure before us."

[ about ]

this site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.

he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.

if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
