despite appearences, odin is feeling a bit cranky today.
we went on an planned field trip to the hospital ( ugh. a 5:30 a.m. admit ) and while he's healthier than ever, he'll probably spend the next few days resting and relaxing after what was hopefully his last surgical intervention.
perhaps uncharacteristically, i'm not going to delve into the minute details of the surgery and simply ask that everyone wish odin a speedy recovery.
after 288 days, i think he's earned the right to a little privacy, don't you?
He is just a doll! I can always count on little Odin's adventures to make me smile. Keep up the good work!
I will say a special prayer tonight for Odin's swift and easy recovery.
Those cheeks! Handsome boy!

Keeping odin in our thoughts tonight. I'm sure everything will turn out wonderfully - I just hope that this stage passes quickly and without any discomfort to him.
Lots of Love,
The K Family
thanks everyone! if anyone can make the process of recovering from surgery seem easy, it's odin. all surgery is serious, but we're quite confident that he's well on his way to speedy recovery.
That Odin...he's amazing. Sending good thoughts your way that Odin will feel better soon.

Odin...tell Dad he didn't name you after a Nordic God of Wisdom and War to fail in the face of a wee bit of surgery. Remind Dad "it's only a flesh wound" ... and that you have been living up to your name since day one.
I have complete faith in your full and speedy recovery Odin. I just hope it is easy on both you and your parents.
Having a strong Nordic connection, I know your name will stand you well always!

the complete tales & poems of winnie the poohthis site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.
he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.
if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
