ex machina

the eric update - day 272: rolling the "hard" way, unassisted! crawling in his crib?

about two days ago, odin suddenly gained the ability to roll over from his back to his stomach! of course, he's been able to roll over from his stomach to his back for quite awhile, but he hasn't seemed very interested trying the more difficult version of the move until just recently. he especially likes to roll onto his stomach while he's sleeping and we'll often find him laying on his stomach after at the end of a nap - which is exactly how i found him this morning after a lengthy 2 hour nap.

is it just me or does he look like he's practicing crawling all by himself in the crib? we've found him in all sorts of odd positions in his crib after a nap and i wonder if he's been practicing more than rolling over during his supposed naps!

perhaps he's a bit camera shy and wants to get all the moves worked out before i start snapping pictures :-)

Ya know, in comparing that picture to the few pictures I have seen of you, Mr. Snowdeal, I have to say that your progeny does indeed resemble you overmuch in addition to resembling your wife.

How's that for a run on sentence? :p

How's that for a run on sentence?

perhaps my continual abuse of the rules of grammer is effecting your own writing style :-)

i still think he looks much more like kris than myself, but perhaps an unbiased eye is better at detecting these sort sof things.

"it is hard to be brave," said piglet, sniffing slightly, "when you're only a Very Small Animal." rabbit, who had begun to write very busily, looked up and said: "it is because you are a very small animal that you will be Useful in the adventure before us."

[ about ]

this site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.

he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.

if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
