we've been continuing odin's swimming lessons; we're not really following any official program and are just letting him get used to being in water much deeper than his bath at his own pace.
he's getting much more confident and today he thought it might be fun to repeatedly dive his head in the water while standing on the pool steps. perhaps he remembered the breathing technique his mamma taught him because he didn't suck in any water and seemed to think it was the best fun ever.
do you use shrook? did you just upgrade? I upgraded and now your pics don't show up in the rss feed except in the day 393 post. maybe you just fixed something in it? I think shrook is having trouble with other blogger sites too.
dawn: " do you use shrook? did you just upgrade? I upgraded and now your pics don't show up in the rss feed except in the day 393 post. maybe you just fixed something in it? I think shrook is having trouble with other blogger sites too."
hmmmm. interesting. i don't use shrook but i did recently switch from a home grown script that generated the rss feeds to letting blogger automatically produce the feed. i just discovered a bit of malformed html in the feed which might have caused the problem. let me know if you can now see days other than 393.
i changed rss formats during the switch which might be causing the problem, but i'm assuming that you wouldn't be able to see day 393 if if shrook couldn't read the new format.
let me know if it's fixed, since who knows how many another people are having the problem.
nope, its still busted. day 393 works fine but the others no longer display pics. I'm using this feed.

It might be shrook's fault since i'm using a new version which i believe contains a new parser. My other blogger photoblogs seem to be busted too.
wait, i thought blogger only did atom. you're getting an rdf file from it?
Dawn: " wait, i thought blogger only did atom. you're getting an rdf file from it?"
ahhhh. you've discovered my little secret. i'm blogger gives me the option of using atom and rss for the feeds ( i think they may only give the rss option to people who have been using the service since The Good Old Days ); i recently switched the feeds to atom, but they let you define the url so i kept it the same as the old feeds so that i didn't force everyone else to switch. b.t.w. since you seem to be well versed in the ways of rss, my home grown feed format was rss 1.0 which is why i originally chose the .rdf extension ( it's all far more confusing that it should be ).
And I thought I was going to read a bunch of interesting comments about kids learning to swim... You all just killed whatever teensy spark of want-to-be-a-blogger that I may have had!

the complete tales & poems of winnie the poohthis site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.
he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.
if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
