after nearly four hundred and fifty days we've decided to take a little break. although it's already been a few days longer than i originally planned, we'll be back soon.
i think.
i suppose it's not really fair since we still get to see odin in all lf his cuteness every day :-)
Glad to hear from you -- check in on Odin every day and was starting to worry!
Enjoy your time "away."

I too was beginning to worry. Glad to hear from you! Although I love to check in every day, I most certainly understand your need for a break! Love the tongue hanging out! I heard that helps concentration! ;o)

we won't be "away" for that long. it just happens that i went on a fishing trip this weekend and didn't take either odin or the camera. and then once i took a day or two off, it was mighty nice to take a day or two more off. or three :-)
and no, i didn't end up catching a single salmon ;-(
breaks are ok, but plz don't cut me off... I thought for sure I would tire of the daily updates once he got sprung from the hospital. Then I figured, I'd last maybe a few more months. Now I am really and truly addicted and would need at least 12 steps - I could not do cold turkey any more than Odin can do that green stringy thing (what in the hell are your feeding our boy??!!). S.

“"it is hard to be brave," said piglet, sniffing slightly, "when you're only a Very Small Animal." rabbit, who had begun to write very busily, looked up and said: "it is because you are a very small animal that you will be Useful in the adventure before us."”
the complete tales & poems of winnie the poohthis site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.
he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.
if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
