'tis the season for friends and family ( and occasionally very generous "internet friends" ) to begin asking us what odin would like for christmas and this year, rather than tell everyone the same improvised, ad-hoc list of the same things we thought we'd be a bit more organized and put together odin's 2005 christmas wishlist on amazon.
obviously, anyone can feel free to get something not on the list, but we thought it might be a nice way for odin's friends and family who are scattered all over the world to make more informed purchasing decision. but that only works if everyone cooperates and actually buys the items from amazon, so please try to refrain from buying items on the list from a local merchant because then nobody else will know he's received a gift from his wishlist :-)
nobody should feel obligated to buy odin any gifts. but if the past few weeks are any indication it seems that there are more than one or two people who are interested and this list is for them.
of course, anyone can still feel free to send him a postcard or any other gift not on the Official List using the current address found on the postcards from budapest post.
'Oh My, Oh My, Oh Dinosaurs' is an excellent choice. We also heartily enjoy 'But Not the Hippopotamus'. Sandra Boynton rocks my world. That's really not as pathetic as it sounds :-p

“"it is hard to be brave," said piglet, sniffing slightly, "when you're only a Very Small Animal." rabbit, who had begun to write very busily, looked up and said: "it is because you are a very small animal that you will be Useful in the adventure before us."”
the complete tales & poems of winnie the poohthis site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.
he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.
if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
