I know a man that was well into his 60's and had to be circumcised because of some major problems...let's just say, he was really wishing his parents would have made that decision for him a long long time ago!

I think this case is a little weird -- given that there is medical cause.

However, I am rather proud that I was able to convince a good friend to leave her son un-mutilated.

Hey anon- You just fucked up your child's sex life.

Wow. You gotta love how quickly circ comments devolve into cursing and hate. Good times.

We did choose to have our son circ'd, but I certainly wouldn't think to comment negatively about someone who didn't. It's a personal decision. I am bothered, however, by people who act as though I mutilated my son. I mean, he slept through the whole procedure! Hardly some traumatic, life-altering experience.

[ about ]

this site chronicles the continuing adventures of my son, odin, who was unexpectedly born on the fourth of july at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1 pound 7 ounces.

he's quite a fighter and you can always send him a postcard to the most current address listed here if you're inspired by his adventures. see the postcard project/google maps mashup to see a map of the postcards.

if you're new, you can browse the archives to catch up. and don't forget to watch a few movies that i made while we were in the neonatal intensive care unit. or if you want the abridged version and you can find a copy, you can read about his adventures in the november 2005 issue of parents magazine.
