my last polaroid.
the last batches of polaroid film pass their expiration date today, september 30, 2009. assuming nobody will step in and start producing the film for instant cameras since polaroid corporation announced it would discontinue production in february 2008, the format will soon pass into the annals of history.
to "...celebrate the film’s life and mourn its passing..." my last polaroid is asking folks to scan and upload your last polaroid to their gallery.
since i didn't take this picture, i don't know if this one qualifies, but it is my last polaroid. a nurse snapped the picture of odin during a post-nicu developmental assessment when he was about two and half years old and it's been on our refrigerator ever since then.
